Rovinj is linked to the rest of Croatia by an excellent network of roads. Trains connect the town to Pula.
The area of Rovinj can easily be explored by car, which can be a rewarding experience as the surroundings offer plenty of natural beauty and other historic attractions. Distances between major cities and towns are short.
Travel by Bus and Shuttles
The bus station is situated just five minutes away from the city centre. There are regular domestic connections with Dubrovnik, Porec, Split, Pula, Zagreb and other national destinations, while international routes are offered to Ljubljana, Munich, Padova, Ulm, Beograd, Kopar and Trst and Venice. Car Hire and Road Travel
Rovinj is connected with the main (M2, E751) road. Along this road it is possible to conveniently reach other parts of Croatia. Travelling to the Slovenian border is an option as well. The Croatian road network has significantly improved in the last 10 years due to an increasing number of tourists visiting the country.

Trains and Rail Travel
Rovinj does not have a railway network. The nearest railway station can be found in Kanfanar, which is about 16 km / 10 miles from Rovinj. Pula also has a railway station which is situated about 25 km / 15 miles from Rovinj. From Pula there are railway connections to a number of national connections as well limited international destinations including Ljubljana and Trieste.
Car Parking
The port offers short- and long-term parking; however, spaces are limited during the summer season. Physically handicapped will find a number of limited special designated car parking spaces. It is recommendable to contact the port authorities prior to arrival.
Travel by Taxis
